It’s Easy to Make a Mark with a Major Gift or Legacy Bequest

Planning for the future and making a legacy bequest is one of the most effective ways to ensure a lasting impact. A legacy bequest to Hope For a Cure For ALZ, Inc. – whether by naming it a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or in your will or trust – will foster our mission and help your legacy endure. A gift in your will or trust can be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate after all other provisions are specified. Here is suggested language you can use when drafting your bequest—

Sample Language

For an unrestricted gift that allows us to determine how to use the funds based on the most pressing needs, use the following language for your will and/or trust:

“I give to Hope For a Cure For ALZ, Inc., a nonprofit corporation currently located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, federal tax ID number 83-0948165, or its successor thereto, [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”

Or, to designate a particular purpose for your gift:

“I give to Hope For a Cure For ALZ, Inc., a nonprofit corporation currently located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, federal tax ID number 83-0948165, or its successor thereto, [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property]. This gift should be used for [state purpose] if and so long as Hope for a Cure for ALZ, Inc. determines that the need exists. If Hope For a Cure For ALZ, Inc. shall determine at the outset or at a later time that the need does not exist, or if it no longer exists or for some reason it is not possible (or prudent) to administer my gift as originally intended, then Hope For a Cure For ALZ, Inc. may, in its sole and uncontrolled discretion, direct the use of my bequest for a purpose related as closely as possible to that stated above.”
